ReStore volunteers assist in a variety of ways prior to and during store hours.
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
Volunteers assist with truck deliveries and pick ups, unloading merchandise, as well as cleaning and prepping materials to be put out on the store floor for display.
Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday
Volunteers assist with loading purchased materials on to vehicles, checking receipts, working the cash register, assisting shoppers in the various sections of the store, tagging merchandise, directing traffic, and providing general customer service assistance to shoppers.
A Typical Day at the ReStore on Tuesday
Arrive at the Construction Office entrance at 9:00am
Report to ReStore staff member to sign-in and ensure that all Volunteer Registration Forms and Liability Waivers are complete
A brief safety orientation is given
Tasks are divided out and instructions are given
A lunch break is taken around 12:00pm
Work resumes after lunch
The work day will conclude by 3:00pm
A Typical Day at the ReStore Wednesday-Friday
Arrive at the Construction Office entrance at 9:30am
Report to ReStore staff member to sign-in and ensure that all Volunteer Registration Forms and Liability Waivers are complete

A lunch break is taken around 12:00pm

The work day will conclude by 4:00pm
A Typical Day at the ReStore on Saturday
Arrive at the Construction entrance at 8:30am
Report to a Habitat representative to sign-in, make a name tag, and ensure that all Volunteer Registration Forms and Liability Waivers are completed and turned in prior to the work day beginning
A brief safety orientation is given
Tasks are divided out and instructions are given
Store doors open and shoppers enter at 9:00am
The work day will conclude by 1:15pm
What to Bring:
Wednesday, Thursday and Friday: wear sturdy shoes, comfortable clothes that can get dirty, and bring a lunch and a beverage
Saturday: wear sturdy shoes, clean comfortable clothing, and a small snack or beverage if needed
