Become a Habitat Faith Partner
Greater Cleveland Habitat for Humanity began an Apostles Build Project in May 2015. The concept is a simple one. Bring 12 churches together to each give 1/12 the prayers, 1/12 the labor, and 1/12 the funding to work in partnership to connect a family to homeownership. Following the completion of the rehab, we have a dedication ceremony where volunteers, community, and the families can gather for prayer and fellowship to celebrate the family receiving the home and joyfully reflect on all the time, talent, and hard work.

Lutheran Habitat Project/Thrivent House
The Lutheran Habitat Project started in 1993 when Pastor Tom Henderson and the congregation of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Berea, raised $30,000 and built a Habitat house. In 1994 the baton was passed to Pastor John Evans. The Lutheran Project has built 23 new houses and rehabbed 15. In 2006, the Lutheran team paired with Thrivent Builds to continue sponsoring houses. The program allows Thrivent members and others to give financially and volunteer their time as they rehab Habitat homes.
