Manager of Faith Relations & Events (Full-time)

Greater Cleveland Habitat for Humanity’s Manager of Faith Relations & Events is responsible for  managing network development and outreach programs to Greater Cleveland’s faith community to fundraise, recruit volunteers, and educate faith-based partners regarding the goals, programs, and mission of Greater Cleveland Habitat. Primary responsibility will be to grow Greater Cleveland Habitat’s Faith Relations program to significantly increase participation from local faith partners in support of Habitat’s mission. This position will also have responsibility for the logistics of the annual 5K Walk*Run*Mosey and will assist with other Greater Cleveland Habitat Development events.  

Key responsibilities:
Faith Relations:
•    Fundraises a minimum of $100,000 in the faith communities to facilitate the construction of at least one faith build house with the goal of growing the program to include one (1) faith build house in Lorain County and multiple faith build houses in Cuyahoga County.
•    Develops strategies to build and maintain faith community partnerships in Cuyahoga and Lorain Counties, including maintenance of current partnerships and building new relationships with diverse congregations, to include formation of a new interfaith coalition.
•    Plans and coordinates annual faith-based events and build days in both counties.
•    Serves as a primary spokesperson for faith-based events.
•    Develops and cultivates relationships with clergy, denominational leadership, and volunteer committees to expand the capacity of the faith relations program in both counties.
•    Creates individual and collective strategies for each faith-based prospect and donor in an expanding portfolio.
•    Utilizes Raiser’s Edge to track contacts and visit notes.

Event Management:
5K Walk*Run*Mosey
•    Solicits in-kind donations, coordinates the drafting/distribution of promotional materials with marketing team, and manages event staff, volunteers, and logistics of the event.
•    Functions as a liaison between the organization and vendors including negotiating pricing while working within the budget for the event.
•    Plans and facilitates planning committee meetings including distributing agenda and taking minutes.
•    Manages logistics of Walk including familiarization with event software.

Other Events:
•    Works with necessary departments to plan and execute neighborhood Spruce-Up Days related to the faith build or other development partners and any events associated with development partners.
•    Performs other duties of a similar nature as may be required.

Qualifications:
•    BA/BS degree.
•    Minimum of two (2) years of development, event, program and/or volunteer management experience. Other relevant experience may be considered.
•    Previous experience working with committees and volunteers.
•    Familiarity with the local faith community and/or area religious organizations.
•    Passion and calling to engage the local faith community in Habitat’s mission.
•    Ability to successfully manage both short-term and long-term responsibilities of the position, including strategic planning and implementation of program goals and objectives.
•    Demonstration of exceptional interpersonal skills in a variety of social and professional settings to ensure good working relationships with colleagues, donors, families, and volunteers.
•    Excellent organizational and time management skills.
•    Respect for and openness to learning about diverse religions.
•    Professional and articulate speaker comfortable with public speaking engagements at faith institutions.

Position Details:
•    Reports to: Director of Development
•    Full-time, Exempt
•    Workweek: Monday through Friday; with some Saturday and Sunday hours required.  Hours will, be flexible to maintain a five (5) day work week.
•    Targeted range: $45,000 - $55,000, commensurate with experience
